Blog - K-Tech Suspension Strong At Daytona With Two Wins, Pole, Podium!
K-Tech Suspension celebrated their first ever Daytona Superbike win in the United States! The first round of the AMA Pro Road Racing championship was held last week at the legendary Daytona International Speedway in Florida. Considered one of the fastest race tracks in the world, riders regularly approach 200mph on the famous banking. Team Jordan Suzuki rider Aaron Yates, using K-Tech 20DDS front fork cartridges and the new 35DDS rear shockset the fastest time in qualifying, securing Team Jordan Suzuki's first pole in the Daytona Superbike class.

National Guard Jordan Suzuki rider Jake Zemke, also using K-Tech Suspension products, started just behind team mate Aaron Yates in fourth position. In a closely fought first racethe first four riders crossed the finish line separated by a mere 0.300"! Jake Zemke took the first-ever Daytona Superbike race win for the team, with team mate Aaron Yates finishing fourth. In the second Daytona Superbike race the following dayZemke again fought hard, winning by 0.009" over Tommy HaydenAaron Yates was just 0.081" behind in fourth place. Double race wins for K-Tech Suspension and Jake Zemke in the first event of the 2010 season! This is a fantastic result for K-Tech as it was the first time the new 35DDS shocks had ever been used in race conditions.

In the Daytona Sportbike classSteve Rapp, using the K-Tech 20DDS front fork cartridges on the Latus Racing Ducati 848 was never out of top three during all the practice and qualifying sessions for the 69th Daytona 200. A crash in one of the qualifying sessions put the team under pressure to rebuild the bike in time for the race. The Daytona 200 night race resulted in a fantastic third place finish for the Latus Racing Ducati team, and the first podium for a Ducati 848 at the event.

PJ Jacobsenalso using K-Tech Suspension front fork and shock productsqualified 13th for the Daytona 200 on the Celtic Racing Suzuki GSXR 600. PJ's event ended abruptly when another rider went down in front of him, on the opening lap.
