Blog - Orient Express WINS in Montgomery!

The Orient Express Pro Street Hayabusa Turbo piloted by Mike Kavos overcame hot weather and poor track conditions to claim a final round victory at the AMA Dragbike Portable Shade Nationals last weekend. This victory marked the second win in a row for JE Piston equipped Pro Street bikes after Mike Slowe won in Michigan. Joe Hahn used all his experience and input from both riders to adjust and setup both Team Orient Express Pro Street bikes. The hot and humid conditions all weekend in Montgomery, Alabama meant that both turbo equipped bikes were down on power and struggling for grip. Poor track conditions made finding traction even harder, especially when putting 600+ horsepower to the pavement!

John Flood rode the Orient Express Pro Street ZX 14 Turbo into the semi-finals where he ran into his teammate on the Hayabusa! Flood has adapted quickly to the new Pro Street machine, and the results are improving at every event. Both riders worked hard in the difficult conditions. Congratulations to Flood for a great ride and a nice wheelie!
